Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026. By using Handiwork, you agree to these terms.
Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Handiwork (handiwork.tools) and the online tools we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Handiwork. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Use of the service
Handiwork provides free online tools for personal and commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Use automated means to scrape, overload, or interfere with the site beyond normal browsing
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law or with our written consent
- Use the Service to process unlawful content or infringe others' intellectual property or privacy rights
- Misrepresent results produced by our tools as official, certified, or professionally endorsed outputs
Tool output and disclaimers
Handiwork tools are provided for general informational and productivity purposes. Results may contain errors or may not be suitable for every situation. You are solely responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them.
Calculators and converters — including health, financial, academic, or technical tools — do not constitute professional advice. They are not a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, engineering, or other professional guidance. Do not use Handiwork as the sole basis for decisions that could affect health, safety, finances, or compliance obligations.
User content
You retain ownership of content you input into our tools. For tools that process data locally in your browser, that content is not transmitted to us for the tool to function. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you process through Handiwork and for backing up anything important.
Intellectual property
The Handiwork name, branding, site design, software, documentation, and original content are owned by Handiwork or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.
Third-party services
The Service may incorporate, display, or link to third-party services, content, advertising, or websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party offerings, including the accuracy of any advertisements or the products and services they promote. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. How third-party advertising and analytics partners handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDIWORK AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for free use, may be zero).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handiwork and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Changes to the service and terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be noted on the site. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination
We may restrict or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Handiwork is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
